Our church praying for 40 days for our Take It to the Streets Ministry. Each day will have a scripture reading, a list things to pray for and I will write a quick devotional thought from the day’s passage. The schedule is not original with us but is built off of YouVersion’s Bible App.
– James 4:1-6
Churches are known for fighting.
They are known for fighting other churches and each other.
I would say churches are known more for quarreling than they are for serving and loving others because they love Jesus.
We need to be known for loving each other, loving our community because we love Jesus.
– Our prayer today is that we would not allow any disagreement we may have with each other grow to the point it gets into the community in a negative way.
– Our prayer today is for our church that we will always guard our words because what we say has impact.
– Our prayer today is that our church will always guard our reactions, and that we would never act in such away it would turn the people we are trying to reach off from our church. That we would never act in such away that we would make people decide not to have a relationship with Jesus.
This is a tall order but a very important one when it comes to reaching our community effectively.
