Prayer Take 22/40

Our church praying for 40 days for our Take It to the Streets Ministry.  Each day will have a scripture reading, a list things to pray for and I will write a quick devotional thought from the day’s passage.  The schedule is not original with us but is built off of YouVersion’s Bible App.

– Nehemiah 9:1-3

This is the picture of a community revival.  It wasn’t a week of meetings instead it was months of working together to build a wall for city. While they were doing this project the community was faced with several test and trials.  They stuck together through all of those and grew together in unity which produced  a desire within them to be unified with God once again.

There is something to rolling up your sleeves and helping your neighbor and there is something to getting involved in a community wide effort, accomplishing it and getting together to celebrate what God has done.

– Today pray that God would show us what He would want us to do to reach our community.

– Pray for God to show us a project that we could involved the whole community in accomplishing so we could nto only fix that problem and when we are done have a celebration at our church as a result of accomplishing that.

– Pray that we will impact the community in such away that the whole community would wind up keeping a “short account” of any sin that is committed.

– This is a prayer for revival… with a Nehemiah flavor.
