Okay, so here we are—October Music.
And at the writing of this post, we are almost three days in. (Because, as you know, we start on September 30th.)
However, my wife is actually four days in because she started playing October Music on September 29th.
I don’t blame her at all.
And yes, I realize I have a double standard here. Christmas music cannot start early. There are rules about these things. But I’ll allow what she did with October Music…
because I thought it was awesome!
So, with that out of the way, I’m giving you links to my Apple Music October playlists.
The first one is called October Prodigal Ghost. It’s made up mostly of Christian songs.
And yes, the second song is ‘Night on Bald Mountain.’ There’s actually a fascinating connection between that piece, the Christian calendar, and the way we associate it with Halloween—but that’s a blog for another time.

The second playlist is the official October Music list for 2026.
It does not have the Ghostbusters soundtrack on it, though it is mentioned as being new in my last post about October Music. It also doesn’t have all of the Christian songs that are on the first playlist.
But there you go.
Now, you may be asking, Well, why doesn’t the official list have the Ghostbusters soundtrack on it?
Simple.
I just select that one as an album whenever I want to hear it. There are actually a few other albums I treasure that way too. I don’t put them into the playlist. I want to listen to the album as an album.
All that to say—click on the links and enjoy!

And if for some reason you can’t get to one of the playlists, just leave a comment below and I’ll figure out a way to get it to you.
Have a great October—with a soundtrack to boot!
