Intolerance

Who decides what is hate speech?

Is it the person that disagrees with your point of view?

Is it the point of view of the person you disagree with?

Who decides what is hate speech?

Is it when you feel like it’s hate speech because you were shocked at what was said?

Could two people look at each other and accuse each other of hate speech and they both be guilty of it?

Could the person who hates the hate speech be guilty of the same?

Who decides who is intolerant?

Is it the person who is intolerant of the intolerance they see?

Is it the person who is intolerant of anyone who doesn’t say things they way they thought they should be said?

Is it the person who disagrees with certain life styles and are vocal about it?

Is it the person who disagrees with another’s conviction concerning life styles and is vocal about it?

Could it be that the most intolerant people are the ones who are intolerant of other people’s actions?

Could it be that we are the most intolerant when we are trying to cover up our own sins?

Could it be we accuse people of intolerance when they say what we are doing is wrong?

Could it be that we are intolerant of anyone who would not operate by our definition of what “love looks like”?

Who gets to decide these things?

What if we quit focusing on what hate speech is and who is intolerant and began focusing fixing things?

What if we refused to allow ourselves to get upset over what other people do that we can’t control?

What if we realized we need to change as must as everyone else does?

What if we read our Bibles again?

What if we decided to not tolerate what God says is not tolerable?

What if we focused that in-toleration on our own lives and souls?

What do you think would happen?

Would it be revival?

Maybe so…
