Prayer Take 38/40

Our church praying for 40 days for our Take It to the Streets Ministry.  Each day will have a scripture reading, a list things to pray for and I will write a quick devotional thought from the day’s passage.  The schedule is not original with us but is built off of YouVersion’s Bible App.

– Revelation 3:15-21

A church can never afford to be luke warm regardless of the time period it exists in. With the environment we currently live in and the direction our culture is headed there is really no time for the church to be lukewarm…

for Luke warm = Useless.

and God hates that.

Further more in every situation, in every environment no matter how bad or good it is the church’s responsibility to make disciples.  Reaching out to their neighborhood first then the surrounding area and then the world.

We must be people that are living to follow Jesus, building our relationship with Him, keeping a short account of our sins with Him and serving where He tells us to serve.

A church that is useful is a church made up of growing disciples that are following Jesus as He does His will on this earth.

Jesus wants to see people saved… so much so He gave His life for that to happen.

And even so should we.

– So today think about dedicating your life to following Jesus and being a part of getting the gospel message out to our community.

– Pray for our church that we will always be on the move… following Jesus as He does His will on this earth.

– Pray that we will not get side tracked from the task Jesus is intending to accomplish.

– Pray for our community that God will draw people to salvation and that He would use our church to be a part of that

– Pray for Take 5.2, that tickets will sell, that we will be able to get the message of the gospel out and that the TRUE meaning of Christmas will be clear and direct.
