Who knows me? God does. He knows me better than anyone else and even knows me better than I know myself.
“He searches the innermost parts of my being” (20:27).
You know…
Those places I keep hidden from everyone else… the dark places and the good. He knows my intentions even when others question them. He knows if I shifted here or there to cover myself so I would look better to others. I may have fooled them but there is no fooling God.
He knows me…
and He knows you.
He knows you.
What does he know about you… that we don’t know?
What would He tell you to continue to do? What would He tell you to change?
Ask Him…
Here is a testimony from Kevin Cook of what stood out to him from his reading of Chapter 20…
“I did not have to read very far into this chapter for one verse to stand out that describes what God knows about me.
It is to a man’s honor to avoid strife, but every fool is quick to quarrel. (20:3)
From the message Bible this verse says:
It’s a mark of good character to avert quarrels, but fools love to pick fights. (20:3)
Now, I am not one to litteraly pick a “fight”, but I can waste alot time trying to prove that I am right (or at least I think that I am). Sadly to say, this usually happens at home more than any other time.
Why do I do this?
Pride “could be” 🙂 the answer…. God knows it is.
Looks like I have some work to do.”
Thanks Kevin…
The fact is we all have work to do and God knows it.
I’m glad He loves me anyway.
I am the Lamp of God… He is the fire inside. (20:27). Please Lord show me the path I need to take and convict my heart. I am willing to follow You. Even when I have to change.
What did you see from the passage today?
