As you know… if you are keeping up with the blog… and a lot of you are. We are in the first 3 days of the 31 day challenge… a challenge to read a chapter out of Proverbs each day through month of January.
So far, Proverbs has been reminding us over and over again (especially on Day 4… tomorrow) to not forget the wisdom and insights that have been passed on to us. The writer has encouraged us over and over again to listen to, give our ear to, seek after, pay close attention to what is being said (or for us… to what has been written).
Tonight, I was studying the letter to the Hebrews for tomorrow nights Bible Study at Church, when this phrase struck me…
“Therefore we must pay much closer attention to what we have heard, lest we drift away from it.” (Hebrews 2:1)
So, “in the midst of it all” here was another reminder for me, for you and for those who will be at Bible Study tomorrow night to pay close attention to what is being said in the scriptures…
because its important…
and needs not to be taken lightly.
And that is good instruction!
