When a tough situation arises in our lives and it begins to get the best of us. We often begin to feel like we are drowning. We feel like “our life” is slowly being drained from our innermost being and the death of all happiness and joy is knocking at our door.
So… What do we do?
We cry out…
to God.
The good news is He hears those prayers and answers them.
Before Jonah was swallowed by the fish he let out a prayer of help, a prayer of desperation as the sea weed wraped around his head and the waters passed over him. He cryed out… not with his voice but with his mind to the God who created Him. And God answered.
“I called out to the Lord, out of my distress and He answered me.” Jonah 2:1
How did God answer Him? With an appointed fish. (More on that in a later post) As strange and out of the box that answer was this is what we know.
Jonah cried out.
God hear his cry of distress.
God answered with a fish.
You may have cried out to him recently and are wondering if God has answered you. Well, He has it just may not be in the way you expected. But He heard you and has answered.
You can count on that.
