I just finished writing questions for a game we are playing tonight at Summer Spectacular. The questions are based on the nights theme : “Acts of kindness are a big deal”.
So it got me thinking, searching, looking for the last time I did an act of kindness.
Acts of kindness are a big deal, they change things for the better. They improve relationships, provide encouragement for people and are just good things to do.
Just the other week I was eating at Crackle Barrel and someone paid for my meal. I do not know who it was but that act of kindness encouraged me greatly. It changed the tone of my day.
Some acts of kindness have to be thought through. If someone talks badly about a friend of mine it is a time for action. The action that is taken must show kindness to my friend who is not there and it must show kindness to my friend who is speaking badly about the other friend. You have to be ready for a situation like this… it will happen to you. If you handle it right it will change the scope of your conversations in the future… in fact conversations you have would become more positive and constructive. But our goal must be kindness.
Acts of kindness are a big deal. They heal, are caring in nature and change things for the better.
So do them… regardless of your position in life.
You’ll be glad you did.
