Truly is our next sermon series… but it is more of a study than a series. There isn’t a connecting theme that runs all the way through it, each message covers a different topic and they do not build on each other.
Truly is a study of the “truly, truly” sayings of Jesus in the gospels. It is a study of statements Jesus says are important. When Jesus says “truly, truly”, he is saying “mark my words, this will happen, there is no way around this, listen up and take note”.
He is saying… Truly, this is important.
So we are going to study those sayings…. they are interesting, convicting and challenging. No surprise here… after all its Jesus making the statements.
What is surprising is the number of them…
We begin this Sunday…
