too much to do

I think everyone hits this realization from time to time. Things to do keep piling up, seemingly heap upon heap and you just can’t get to it all. It can be over whelming at times and a sliver of fear begins to creep into your soul that you might not be able to accomplish what you set out to do. There maybe a major failure ahead, not a moral one, an organizational one. Something is either going to come off the tracks or not be done as well as you would have liked.

So what do you do? You can’t back off at the point you are at. You know that if you could just get past some of this stuff then you would make less commitments in the future or try to. You want to hire someone to help but may not have been able to find the right person to take some of the load off your shoulders. So what do you do?

Well…

You do one thing at a time. You strategically chip away at the elephants you are trying to tackle one task at a time.

Striving to move forward with what you are trying to accomplish doesn’t take the “too much to do” syndrome away. But it does move you out of being paralyzed by what you have to do.
